30 Years of KAFU: Guest Lecture “Modern Nigerian Life and Culture” by Williams Burga
On September 26, 2024, a guest lecture “Modern Nigerian Life and Culture” was held at the Kazakh-American Free University as part of the anniversary events. The speaker at this educational meeting with KAFU students and teachers was Williams Burga, a Co-Service International Partner from Nigeria. He spoke about his country in an entertaining way, introduced the culture, traditions and customs of Nigeria. Basically, everyone knows that this is a state in West Africa, but not everyone knows more detailed facts about this country. The guest lecture became a unique opportunity for listeners to learn about Nigeria directly from its resident and citizen – Williams Burga.
According to him, the economy is developing rapidly in Nigeria, and this state is also distinguished by its rich culture and traditions, numerous carnivals and unusual but delicious food. The lecture was held entirely in English, without translation. The audience asked many questions, to which the speaker gave detailed answers.
