Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic Robert Kirnag Awarded the Title of “Honorary Doctor of the Kazakh-American Free University”
On May 13, 2024, the Academic Council of the Kazakh-American Free University decided to award Robert Kirnag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, the honorary title of “Honorary Doctor of KAFU”.
This recognition was the result of Mr. Kirnag’s significant contribution to the development of international relations between Slovakia and Kazakhstan, his active promotion of educational initiatives and support for the younger generation. During his diplomatic service, Mr. Kirnag repeatedly gave lectures to KAFU students, covering current issues of international politics, the role of small states and strategic planning in the context of global uncertainty.
Mr. Kirnag’s candidacy was recommended by the University’s Academic Council in recognition of his work aimed at strengthening cooperation in the educational sphere and supporting international exchanges. Robert Kirnag, with over 30 years of diplomatic service experience, is known for his active work in the international arena, including in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. His lectures and participation in KAFU educational programs allow students to gain unique knowledge and experience in the field of international relations and diplomacy.
