Anxiety Management Training

On February 10, 2025, a training on “Anxiety and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy” was held for the students of the educational programs of the Department of Business and the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology. The training was led by Yulia V. Gnatyuk, a teacher at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, a practicing psychologist.

During the training, the participants became familiar with the theoretical foundations of anxiety as a psychological phenomenon, as well as various approaches to working with this condition. Yulia spoke in detail about cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as one of the most effective methods for treating anxiety.

Particular attention was paid to various CBT techniques, such as ETER (event, thoughts, emotions, reaction), Socratic dialogue and cognitive separation. Yulia demonstrated how each of these methods can be adapted to specific situations and needs. The training not only expanded the students’ knowledge in psychology and psychotherapy, but also became an important step in preparing future specialists who will work in the field of pedagogy, psychology and business, helping people cope with anxiety and achieve better results in their lives. In addition, during the training, students actively asked questions about anxiety, its causes and ways to overcome it. The questions were varied, from practical recommendations for working with one’s own states to complex theoretical aspects of anxiety disorders. Yulia answered each question in detail and in detail, revealing the intricacies of working with anxiety and giving recommendations on how to recognize and effectively cope with its various manifestations. Upon completion of the training, the participants expressed gratitude for the useful and practical advice, as well as for the opportunity to better understand the nature of anxiety and effective methods for overcoming it.
