Figures of Culture of East Kazakhstan Region

On April 28, 2023, the Department of Law and International Relations held the event “Persons of Culture of the East Kazakhstan Region”, dedicated to the memory of cultural figures of the East Kazakhstan region. Among them were: teacher, scientist, artist Viktor Romanov, poet Alexander Romanov and mathematician, teacher, composer, music educator Nikolai Tepfer. The students of our university were told about these people, their work and contribution to the culture of the East Kazakhstan region.

The moderator of this event was the senior lecturer of the Department of Law and International Relations Saveliy Muzhchil

The Head of the Department of Law and International Relations, Professor, PhD Kairat Alembaev addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, who noted the role of cultural and educational activities in educational work with students and urged students to raise the level of culture.

The next speaker was our guest, Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences Konstantin Prokopov. He spoke about communication with Alexander Romanov, his life and work.

The event was also attended by musician, poet, writer Batyr Mukanov, poetess Valeria Lebedeva and Anna Stepanova, who read Alexander Romanov’s poems.
