Hackathon “KuickHack’24”
From April 29 to May 4, 2024, the Republican IT hackathon “KuickHack’24” was held. The purpose of the event was to increase interest and motivation among young people in developing software products, improving the skills of implementing an idea to a prototype. This event was attended by the team of the Kazakh-American Free University of the Department of Business “Crystal Castles”, which consisted of 3rd year students of the EP “Information Systems” Danil Fedotov and Ayan Khassenov. This hackathon was attended by 70 teams from universities among the regions of Kazakhstan.
The hackathon consisted of five stages. All hackathon participants were asked to choose one of five tasks and develop a unique solution for it. Our team selected one of the current tasks, which is related to monitoring and censorship of inappropriate content on a social network, after which the development process began. In this difficult battle, our students were able to advance to the last stage, which included 12 more teams from different regions.
Despite the fact that our team did not manage to take the prize, they received the “Original Solution” nomination, for which we congratulate our students and wish them further success!
