On February 10, 2025, an information meeting with Center for the Study of Religious Problems representatives was held at the Kazakh-American Free University.

During the event, the theologian spoke about the most pressing issues related to religious extremism and terrorism. Particular attention was paid to the reasons for the spread of extremist ideas among young people and methods of their prevention.

The specialist explained in detail which religious movements are non-traditional and pseudo-Islamic, and also gave recommendations on how to recognize their adherents and act correctly in such situations. The theologian listed the main pseudo-Islamic groups that distort the true principles of Islam and explained where to turn for help.

A separate part of the meeting was devoted to psychological and social factors that make young people vulnerable to radical propaganda. The expert emphasized the importance of critical thinking and the ability to analyze information, especially from the Internet and social networks.

The meeting participants were shown videos with stories of real people who encountered extremist groups. They shared their experiences and warned about the consequences of contact with destructive religious organizations.

After watching the video, a question and answer session was held, during which students received explanations from specialists. Of particular interest were recommendations on safe behavior on the Internet and ways to recognize signs of radicalization.

Such events play an important role in preventing extremism among young people. They raise awareness, help students strengthen their safety, and develop skills for critical perception of information.
