An article by a student of the Kazakh-American Free University of the EP “Tourism” Syuzanna Mitsikh was published in the Moscow German newspaper. Her research on Kazakhstan as a tourist destination for Germany was highly appreciated and translated into German, taking up an entire newspaper page.
While studying at KAFU, Syuzanna Mitsikh prepared a term paper dedicated to the potential of tourism in Kazakhstan for international guests, particularly for Germany. In her research, she examined the country’s main tourist routes, natural attractions, and cultural heritage. This work was highly appreciated and attracted the attention of the editors of the Moscow German newspaper, which decided to publish materials from her research.
KAFU provides students with unique opportunities for professional development and international recognition. One of the tools for early career guidance is the project “KAFU Major-Specialized Class”, with which Syuzanna Mitsikh’s academic career began.
This project helps high school students get acquainted with the areas of study in advance, and learn the basics of tourism, entrepreneurship, business, and English learning. Thanks to the knowledge and skills gained, she was able to successfully enroll in KAFU and delve deeper into the study of tourism.
Syuzanna Mitsikh’s story demonstrates how KAFU helps students develop their professional skills, achieve recognition, and build a career in tourism. The KAFU Makor-Specialized Class project and the university’s educational programs create a solid foundation for the successful future of graduates.
