KAFU Teachers Completed a Course on Inclusive Education
From February 10 to 21, 2025, with the support of KAFU, senior lecturers of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Zhanar K. Sadanova and Yelizaveta T. Katanova, successfully completed the course “Development of Professional Competence of a Teacher-Assistant in Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs in Comprehensive Schools” (72 hours).
The course covered important aspects aimed at improving the professional competence of teacher-assistants in the field of inclusive education. In the process of mastering the program, the basics of working with students with special educational needs, psychological and pedagogical approaches and methods, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the teacher and assistant were studied. In addition, algorithms for diagnosing, assessing and supporting children with special educational needs, behavior correction methods and the specifics of using ABA therapy were considered. Additionally, the course participants received information on the organization of sensory integration and the creation of special conditions for learning.
The program allowed them to better understand the various needs of students in the inclusive education system and master effective methods of supporting them.
