Lecture by the World Bank Resident Representative in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan on the topic “Creating the Future: Reforms for Sustainable Development of Kazakhstan”

On October 14, 2024, a lecture by Andrey Mikhnev, World Bank Resident Representative in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, was held at the Kazakh-American Free University on the topic “Creating the Future: Reforms for Sustainable Development of Kazakhstan”.

During the event, data on current World Bank projects in Kazakhstan were presented, covering various aspects – from attracting investment to increasing the level of human capital and resilience to crises.

The lecturer paid special attention to projects in the East Kazakhstan region, where there has been a significant growth of the middle class and a decrease in poverty, despite the remaining social and economic challenges.
