Meeting with representatives of the Association for the Development of the Nuclear Industry of Kazakhstan

On September 13, 2024, a meeting with representatives of the Association for the Development of the Nuclear Industry of Kazakhstan was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. In the run-up to the referendum, the Chairman of the Association, Aldiyar N. Toktarov, and the Secretary of the International Cooperation Project, Sofya A. Kuriy, made presentations to the students.

The main topic of the meeting was nuclear energy, its importance, and prospects for Kazakhstan. The speakers shared the benefits of using nuclear power plants, based on international experience, and gave students an understanding of nuclear energy’s role in developing the country’s economy.

The students showed interest in asking questions about the safety of nuclear power plants for the country, construction timeframes, and how the development of nuclear energy will affect Kazakhstan’s economy and its citizens’ well-being. The meeting was informative and sparked a lively discussion among the participants.
