Open Lesson in the Framework of the Discipline “Fundamentals of Translation”

On March 14, 2023, Senior Lecturer of the Department of “Pedagogy and Psychology” Turgumbaeva N.K. held an open lesson for 2nd-year students of the EP 6B01701 “Kazakh Language and Literature” on the topic “Main Types of Translation” in the discipline “Fundamentals of Translation”. During the lesson, students completed translation exercises, analyzed texts in Kazakh and Russian, worked with authentic materials, which contributed to the development of interlingual communication skills.

In addition, the lesson used role-playing techniques and modeling of professional activities: students worked in pairs and groups, acting as translators at conferences, literary events and pedagogical meetings. This allowed not only to improve translation skills, but also to develop confidence in using the language in a professional environment.

The flexibility of the educational process was demonstrated through the use of interactive teaching methods, such as analyzing real examples of translations, creating adapted texts and using modern digital resources and online translation platforms. This approach helped students apply the knowledge they had acquired in practice and prepared them for their future professional activities.
