Presentation of University of Cumberlands (USA), West Saxon University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau (Germany), Georg-Simon Ohm Technical University at KAFU
On September 24, 2024, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary, a presentation of leading universities from the USA and Germany for schoolchildren and students was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. This time, the KAFU Assembly Hall became the venue for a meeting with representatives of University of Cumberlands (USA), West Saxon University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau (Germany) and Georg-Simon Ohm Technical University, Nuremberg (Germany). The purpose of the event is to provide information on higher education opportunities abroad, international cooperation in the field of academic exchange and scientific internships.
Representatives of University of Cumberlands spoke about key areas of training, undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as scholarship opportunities. The university is actively developing scientific research in such areas as business, humanities and information technology. The speakers noted the flexibility of the educational programs, which allow students to adapt the curriculum to their interests and career goals.
The West Saxony University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau, presented its unique programs aimed at training highly qualified specialists in engineering, technical and applied sciences. Particular attention is paid to practice-oriented training and close cooperation with industrial enterprises, which provides students with the opportunity to practice in large industries. Representatives spoke about the employment prospects of graduates both in Germany and in other European countries.
The Georg Simon Ohm University of Technology Nuremberg demonstrated its achievements in the field of engineering and high technology. The university’s bachelor’s and master’s programs are aimed at training specialists for high-tech industries, such as robotics, information technology, artificial intelligence and industrial automation. Representatives emphasized the importance of international cooperation and academic mobility for students.
The presentation aroused great interest among schoolchildren and students. Participants received answers to questions about admission requirements, language requirements and opportunities for participation in exchange programs. This event was an important step in popularizing foreign education and opened up new prospects for young people seeking to obtain a quality education abroad.
