Students’ Meeting with Psychologist, Psychosomatologist Zhandos K. Kamzinov

On November 6, 2024, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kazakh-American Free University Liza T. Katanova organized a meeting with psychologist and psychosomatologist Zhandos K. Kamzinov. A young and experienced specialist held a seminar for first-year students on the topic of “Unlocking the Potential of a Personality” (“Realization of Personality Potential”).

The guest presented students with information about the concept of psychosomatics and the factors influencing the formation of a personality. Within the framework of the doctrine of psychosomatics, it was said that the behavior, emotional, and psychological state of a person are studied in connection with a certain somatic disease. It was shown in detail that the term “psychosomatics” is associated with mental and physical interaction. It was noted that the concept of psychosomatics is considered a synonym for physiological dysfunctions of psychogenic etiology.

The students took an active part in this seminar, expressed their opinions, and gave feedback. They appreciated the importance of this topic. We thank our honored guest for the relevant report!
