The IT project of KAFU students was recognized as the best at the Jastar Time exhibition
May 23, 2024 at the KSU “East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Children and Youth School of Olympic Reserve in Martial Arts named after. Kazhymukan” Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan region hosted an exhibition of IT projects “Jastar Time” among students of colleges and universities of East Kazakhstan region.
The IT project of 3rd year students of the EP “Information Systems” of the Department of “Business” of the Kazakh-American Free University Danil Fedotov and Ayan Khasenov was recognized as the best at the “Jastar Time” exhibition.
The senior teachers of the Department of Business, Ruslan Kayratovich Chettykbaev and Yulia Vladimirovna Trofimova, acted as leaders.
This event was held in the following areas:
“Maker Fest” – which demonstrated various inventions and models created by school students;
“Junior Skills” – in which projects were presented within the framework of the initiative project of the “Amanat” party “Free IT classes for children” in IT competencies: 3D modeling and programming;
“Robotime” – which presented the most interesting robots and inventions created by schoolchildren and a free flying machine show;
Sector “Cluster Pro” – in which participants from colleges and universities presented their best projects.
Our students demonstrated their project called “NorLink” (a fully developed version of the “Nortrom” project), which aims to automatically check content for inappropriate content, including recognizing audio messages in various languages and recognizing images and sounds in various videos.
Based on the voting results, the jury assessed the project of KAFU students with the maximum number of points, which ultimately led the team to victory and another first place at this event. The guys also received gift certificates.
In addition to winning the Jastar Time competition, our students received first place prizes for participating in the hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ”-2024, which took place from March 5 to 6.
