30 Years of KAFU: Guest Lecture on Slovakia’s Foreign Policy and Its Relations with Kazakhstan

On September 27, 2024, a guest lecture «Foreign Policy of Slovakia and the Role of Small States in International Politics» was held at the Kazakh-American Free University to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the university. The speaker of the event was Robert Kirnag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Kazakhstan.

Ambassador Robert Kirnag shared his experience of working in Kazakhstan with students and teachers, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries. He discussed the strategic directions of Slovakia’s foreign policy, focusing on the importance of cooperation between small states in the face of global challenges.

The lecture aroused keen interest among students and teachers, becoming a platform for active discussion of international policy issues, as well as future prospects for interaction between Slovakia and Kazakhstan. At the end of the event, the participants asked the speaker questions, which contributed to further deepening the dialogue on the role of small states in world politics.
