30 years of KAFU: opening of the volleyball tournament
On September 23, 2024, the opening of the volleyball tournament among women’s teams of educational institutions of the technical and vocational education system of the East Kazakhstan region for the KAFU President’s Cup took place. Teams from regional colleges, as well as an invited organization – BEREL Volleyball Club LLP, are taking part in the competition. Foreign teachers – KAFU co-founder James Evenson and professor Brian Young – took part in the opening ceremony.
The tournament, which will last until September 25, is designed to identify the strongest teams and promote volleyball among students, strengthen ties between educational institutions, and attract young people to sports and a healthy lifestyle.
The target audience of the event is 1st-2nd year students of the Physical Education and Sports specialty of the KAFU Higher College. The winning teams will receive gold, silver and bronze medals, and the main prize – the KASU President’s Cup – will go to the best team of the tournament.
