75 years of the Institute of Professional Development “Orleu”

On December 12, 2023, the administration of the Kazakh-American Free University congratulated the faculty members of the branch of National Center of Qualifications Training “Orleu” of Institute of Professional Development in the East Kazakhstan Region on its 75th anniversary.

Orleu approached its 75th anniversary as one of the largest institutions playing a leading role in the field of education.

The entire history of the formation of the institute since its foundation in 1948 is closely connected with the history and education system of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk and the East Kazakhstan region.

Highly qualified faculty members ensures the improvement of teachers’ skills at a high scientific and methodological level that meets modern requirements.

“Orleu” of the Institute of Professional Development in the East Kazakhstan region carries out training and retraining of teaching staff based on scientific research and advanced pedagogical practice, capable of making an effective contribution to the development of the education system, implements scientific and methodological support for priority areas of modernization of the education system, creates cultural and educational and information environment in the region as an integrative condition for the formation and development of the professional culture of a modern teacher.

The scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and round tables held by the institute on current issues of education also contribute to the growth of teachers’ professionalism. The Institute has become a resource center for the implementation of a multi-vector system of continuous education.

Two ex-directors were also present at the event: Protassova G.V. and Baykhonov S.Z. – veterans of teaching work, partners, currently directors of educational institutions.

Today KAFU and the branch of “Orleu” of the Institute of Professional Development in the East Kazakhstan region signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and are looking for the new ways in partnership to implement forms of support

Thanks to the active approach of the branch director Gaukhar S. Zhumanova, a new vector of partnership is being built in the development of the institute together with KAFU, ensuring the main direction – the professional and successful development of the teacher.
