A Memorial Stone was Unveiled at KAFU

KAFU President Yerezhep A. Mambetkaziyev participated in the ceremony along with his American partners. James Evenson and Daniel Ballast were among those who, back in 1994, founded KAFU, the first university of international partnership in Kazakhstan, and made a significant contribution to its development.

Distinguished guests at the event included Dan Tubolets, Economic Affairs Officer at the US Embassy, and Kuralay Omarova, Economic Specialist at the US Embassy.

The memorial stone is a sign of respect for those who established the university’s traditions, fostered a spirit of freedom and cooperation, and contributed to its growth and development.

It symbolizes the history of KAFU’s development, its traditions, its contribution to the development of education and science in the region and country, and its commitment to new achievements. The memorial stone will become a symbol of the continuity of generations—a place where students will remember that the university was founded on the ideas of openness, innovation, and international cooperation.
