“Qazaqstan Khalkyna” Public Fund Educational Grants for the 2025–2026 Academic Year

The “Qazaqstan Khalkyna” Public Fund continues its charitable program, offering educational grants for socially vulnerable groups to pursue higher education. In the 2025–2026 academic year, grants will be awarded for full-time bachelor’s degree programs at selected universities in Kazakhstan.

What the grant includes:

  • Full tuition coverage for a full-time bachelor’s degree program;
  • Monthly stipend of 40,000 KZT (for 10 months each academic year, excluding summer holidays).

Who is eligible to apply:
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan under 30 years old from the following categories:

  1. Low-income families from rural areas, small towns, or monotowns;
  2. Orphans or those left without parental care until adulthood;
  3. Persons with disabilities;
  4. Families raising children with disabilities (under 18);
  5. Children of those who died during the January 2022 tragic events;
  6. Children injured during the January 2022 events.

Important to note:

  • Applicants with a prior higher education degree or a state educational grant are not eligible;
  • Grants are valid only for full-time education in universities included in the state educational order;
  • The grant is personal, non-transferable, and awarded once;
  • Transfers to another program or university are not allowed under this program.

Implementation schedule for 2025:

  • August 1–17 — Submission of applications by university admission offices;
  • By August 22 — Universities submit documents to the Fund;
  • September 8 — Fund’s Board reviews and approves grant recipients;
  • By September 11 — List of grant recipients published on the Fund’s website;
  • September–November — Signing of tripartite contracts and processing of payments.

The list of participating universities and the number of grants per institution will be published on the Fund’s official website by August 1, 2025.
