“Serpin” Program

Since 2024, the Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU) has been actively participating in the implementation of the state program “Serpin – 2050”.

The goal of the program is to educate and employ young people from the southern regions of the country (Almaty, South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, and Mangystau regions), where there is a surplus of labor, in the eastern, northern, and western regions of Kazakhstan, which are experiencing a shortage of workforce.

Grants are distributed to universities located in the following regions: North Kazakhstan, Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Abai, Pavlodar, Ulytau, Karaganda, and Kostanay regions.

Advantages of participating in the “Serpin – 2050” program at KAFU:

• Free education – educational grants for students from southern regions of the country (only graduates of rural schools can participate in the program).
• Modern educational programs – training in-demand specialists in accordance with labor market requirements.
• Practice-oriented learning – internships and partnerships with leading employers in the region.
• Dormitory and social support – comfortable living conditions and adaptation assistance for non-local students.
• Guaranteed employment – assistance in job placement for graduates in the northern and eastern regions of Kazakhstan.

The minimum UNT score required is 50 points, and 75 points for teaching specialties.

The mandatory employment period for the “Serpin” grant has been reduced from 3 to 2 years, and the list of employment regions has been expanded to include 11 regions.

Under the “Serpin – 2050” program, you can apply for a grant in the following educational programs:
