Anniversary Party: Initiation of Freshmen

On October 11, the night club “OYU” held a solemn initiation of the 2024 freshmen “Anniversary Party”. This event is traditionally held every year for more successful adaptation of newly arrived students and creation of a friendly atmosphere.

The First Vice-President of KAFU, Zhasulan Ye. Baikenov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of holding such an event and wished all students a successful start to their path to higher education.

The next to congratulate the freshmen was the Vice-President of KAFU for International Relations and Cooperation, Daniel Ballast, who uttered the phrase that has already become everyone’s favorite: “KAFU is us.” He also acted as the host of an exciting quiz, during which several students competed in their knowledge of the history and distinctive features of KAFU. This was followed by the main program of the event, which included exciting competitions with valuable prizes, a lottery, good songs in different languages ​​and a flash mob performed by the dance group “Vortex”. Several volunteers also took part in a battle, during which one person went to the center of the hall and tried to repeat the movements of the dancers.

After the official part, the first-year students danced to the songs of various genres: from popular pop music and songs of the 90s to slow dance. The disco’s repertoire also included the university’s original anthem, which was already played at the main anniversary event of KAFU.

As a result, everyone present was able to feel like part of the friendly team of KAFU University, where everyone is ready to help each other and fill the school days with unforgettable emotions.
