Applied Aspects of Audio Description in Translation of Audiovisual Texts

On October 31, 2024, at a practical lesson on the subject “Functional and Stylistic Aspects of Translation: Theory and Practice”, 4th-year students of the Kazakh-American Free University of the EP “Translation Studies” studied the applied aspects of audio description of audiovisual texts – a modern direction of translation that has great social significance and development prospects. For practical development of audio description skills, a translation situation was simulated using Soviet animated films.
