“Best university professor – 2025” competition

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the “Best University Professor” competition (hereinafter referred to as the Competition).

“The Regulations on the “Best University Professor” Competition (hereinafter referred to as the Rules)” were approved by Order No. 124 of the Acting Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 16, 2015. The title may not be awarded to the same person more than once within the next ten years.

To participate in the competition, candidates from among full-time faculty members of higher and/or postgraduate education institutions submit their documents through the Information System of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The first stage of the competition, which is held internally at the university, begins on November 3 and runs until November 14, 2025. To participate in Stage I of the competition, full-time university faculty members must submit the following documents through the information system of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (universitycontest2025.iac.kz):

– An application form for participation in the competition for the title of “Best University Professor,” in accordance with Appendix 1 to the Rules;

– Information on the qualitative and quantitative indicators, in accordance with Appendix 2 to the Rules (data for the last 5 years – 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, except for items that indicate specific dates);

– An annual work schedule for the 2025-2026 academic year, in accordance with Appendix 3 to the Rules;

– A personal record sheet;

– A copy of an identity document. The appeal period for Stage I of the competition is from November 17 to 19, 2025.

Stage II of the competition, the national stage, begins on December 1 and runs until December 12, 2025.

Instructions for using the information system of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be posted on the website universitycontest2025.iac.kz
