Campaign “Zhasyl Aimak” («Green Area»)

Today, April 27, 2024, students and teachers of the Kazakh-American Free University took part in a green action that took place on Mount “Kazakhstan” in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The mountain has long become a favorite place for residents of the regional center. Citizens gather here for various events, organize climbs or come to admire the beautiful panoramic view of the city.

Along the alley leading to the observation deck of the mountain, 500 seedlings of spruce, birch, ash and pyramidal poplar were planted.

Akim of East Kazakhstan region Ermek Kosherbaev took part in the planting of trees, who noted that the actions help to instill in young people a love of nature and their small homeland, thereby fostering a culture of ecology.
