Career Guidance Meeting for Graduates of the Higher College of KAFU in Pedagogical Specialties

On February 21, 2025, the Kazakh-American Free University held a career guidance meeting for potential applicants – graduates of the Higher College of KAFU in pedagogical specialties:

• “Physical Education and Sports” (teacher of physical education and sports);

• “Pedagogy and Methodology of Teaching Language and Literature of Basic Secondary Education” (teacher of Russian language and literature).

The head of the KAFU Marketing and Admissions Department, Azamat B. Berdibekov, and the Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Assem N. Nurlanova, addressed the applicants with a welcoming speech, telling about the opportunities for studying at KAFU and the prospects for admission for future students. The options for admission after college were also covered in detail, including the possibility of receiving a state grant and admission to shortened study programs (2 years after college).

In her speech, Assem N. Nurlanova emphasized that today being a teacher is prestigious, in demand and promising. Modern education needs talented and motivated specialists who can contribute to the development of society and the formation of future generations.

As part of the event, thematic lectures and trainings were organized by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, aimed at developing professional skills and personal growth of graduates.

Lecture “Queen of Sports” – lecturer Baytukanov A.D. revealed the key aspects and achievements in the sports field.

Training “Techniques for Working with Anxiety in Young Teachers in the First Years of Work at School” – practicing psychologist and teacher of KAFU Gnatyuk Yu.V. introduced the participants to stress management methods and adaptation in a professional environment.

Seminar “Peculiarities of Work of PE Teacher” – lecturer Mukhamedzhanov Zh.E. focused on the specifics of the work of a physical education teacher.

This meeting became a useful platform for graduates, giving them the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of educational and career prospects, as well as to receive practical advice from experienced specialists.
