Caution #1: Earthquake Action
As part of the event, Almas Baizhuminov, a senior officer of the Civil Defense Department of the East Kazakhstan Region Department of Emergency Situations, gave a lecture to students, during which he explained in detail the rules of conduct during an earthquake, the procedure for responding to an emergency, and measures for ensuring personal safety.
He also demonstrated a so-called “emergency kit,” explaining what essential items should be included in it and why it is important to have it prepared in advance.
Following the theoretical part, an evacuation drill was conducted. Students and university staff practiced an organized exit from the building and assembled in a safe area.
Such events help improve the preparedness of students and staff for emergency response and foster a culture of safety.
