Congratulations to School-Gymnasium No. 10 on the 30th Anniversary of Its Status as a Gymnasium!

30 years ago, School No. 10 of Ust-Kamenogorsk received the honorary status of a gymnasium. This is an important milestone in the life of an educational institution, behind which stands a path filled with work, discoveries, victories and, most importantly, people who made School-Gymnasium No. 10 what it is today – a symbol of stability, quality and aspiration for the future. On April 25, 2025, School-Gymnasium No. 10 celebrated the 30th anniversary of receiving this status. Graduates, teachers, students, partners and friends gathered at the gala event. Among the guests of honor were the First Vice-President of the Kazakh-American Free University Zhassulan Y. Baikenov, Adviser to the rector of KAFU Natalia A. Nesterenko, as well as a graduate of the school and the Major-Specialized Class of KAFU, and now a 2nd-year student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” Zarina Karakhanova. Representatives of the university emphasized the importance of long-term and fruitful cooperation between the university and the school-gymnasium.

Over three decades, the gymnasium has become a true legend of the education system of Eastern Kazakhstan. This is a living space where each student reveals his or her potential, and each teacher finds inspiration. Here, traditions are honored and innovations are introduced, and individuals are brought up who are ready for the challenges of the time.

School-Gymnasium No. 10 is one of five schools in Kazakhstan that have DSD status – the right to conduct an international exam in German. The students of the gymnasium achieve high results in national and international olympiads, participate in KAFU projects, demonstrating a high level of preparation and motivation.

The school is especially proud of its continuity. The connection between generations is maintained not only among the students, but also among the teachers. Former directors, such as Natalia A. Ustinova and Natalia A. Nesterenko, remain in contact with the staff, share their experience, support and guide. Today, Natalia A. Nesterenko is not only a mentor, but also a social partner, carefully accompanying the school graduates at a new stage of their journey – within the walls of the university.

School-Gymnasium No. 10 is not just an educational institution. It is a community of like-minded people, in which the foundations of respect, honesty, responsibility and the desire to be the best are laid – for themselves, for others, for their country.
