Creative Meeting with Almira Khozhanova: Is It Possible to Build a Career in Education?
On December 1, 2025, a creative meeting with Almira B. Khozhanova, Director of the KAFU Center for Continuing Education, was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. Participants included teachers and students majoring in Russian Language and Literature and Primary Education, who are already preparing for their future careers.
Almira B. Khozhanova is a versatile specialist with extensive professional experience, spanning careers from elementary school teacher to educational institution director. Therefore, in her presentation, she shared important advice on choosing the best niche in education, overcoming stage fright, and what aspiring professionals lack.
The speaker placed particular emphasis on the personal and professional growth of educators. She emphasized that it’s not enough to limit yourself to a career as a regular teacher and work in one place your entire life: modern educators need to obtain multiple degrees, continually improve their skills, and explore different areas.
According to Almira B. Khozhanova, teachers should develop a personal development plan from the very beginning of their career, clearly define their goals, and plan ways to achieve them. Any goal can be achieved with sufficient effort and resources.
As a result, the students received a wealth of valuable practical advice from an experienced professional and the opportunity to ask questions about a career in education.
