Creative Meeting with Daniel Besedin

On February 23, 2023, a briefing was held at the Kazakh-American Free University – a creative meeting with Daniel Besedin. The participants of the event were students of the educational program “Journalism” of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years. The meeting was held within the framework of the project “Media literacy as a key to building a competent society of media consumption among adolescents, professional journalists and university teachers to increase society’s resilience to disinformation” within the framework of the US Embassy Small Grants Program at the KAFU Media Hub.

Daniel Besedin – the host of his own show on the YouTube channel “Jibek Joly TV”, a professional journalist and teacher – shared interesting facts from his career with students, spoke about journalistic and professional activities.

Daniel talked to future journalists who asked questions of interest, discussed current problems of modern journalism, trends in its development, strengths and weaknesses of the profession.

The meeting ended in a positive mood, the students thanked the speaker for the interesting session.
