Crime Prevention Meeting
On October 21, 2025, as part of the Cooperation Agreement, students from the Department of Law and International Relations met with Anna Verner, prosecutor of the Department of Legal Information Development in the Criminal Sphere of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the East Kazakhstan Region.
During the meeting, the speaker provided a detailed discussion of modern crime prevention measures, focusing on such pressing issues as combating fraud, drug-related crimes, and droppering—a new form of complicity in criminal schemes.
The students were particularly interested in discussing real-life examples from prosecutorial practice, which allowed them to examine the issue from both a theoretical and practical perspective. Anna Verner answered all the participants’ questions, emphasizing the importance of legal awareness and the personal responsibility of each citizen to comply with the law.
The event was held in a lively and informative atmosphere, helping to develop a conscious attitude toward legality and law enforcement among future lawyers.
