Discussion on the Values of Modern Society Took Place at KAFU.

On October 24, 2025, a discussion on the values of modern society—hard work and professionalism—was held as part of the “Adal Azamat” educational program. Second-year students from the Department of Foreign Languages at the Kazakh-American Free University participated in a mini-debate in English on the topic “Hard Work Is More Important Than Talent.”

The event format fostered the development of an academic culture of discussion, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. Participants prepared arguments and counterarguments, cited examples from their studies, sports, and professional development, and discussed discipline, goal-setting, resilience to failure, and the importance of regular practice.

During the cross-examination, students analyzed how hard work helps to discover and enhance natural abilities. The team advocating for hard work was deemed the most convincing, demonstrating that systematic effort, planning, and feedback produce sustainable results and create the conditions for realizing talent. The event was part of the “Adal Azamat” program, which aims to develop responsibility, academic integrity, a culture of respectful dialogue, and a willingness to argue one’s position. Such meetings reinforce the values of hard work and professionalism among students and will continue this semester.
