Four years ago, I came to the Kazakhstan-American Free University with great hopes, and now, looking back, I have no doubt that I made the right decision. Nursultan Toleu, Journalism
My amazing student years… My dear, knowledgeable teachers… My closest and most supportive friends…
Even though it’s been two years since I graduated from the university, I still miss it deeply. At this university, you don’t just gain an education — you make new strides and find freedom that helps shape your future and personal development. There are no limits here… The constant support of the teachers always amazed me. They weren’t just teachers, but also mentors, friends, and confidants. Thanks to them, I am now an elementary school teacher beloved by my students. If I had to choose a university again, I would choose KASU without hesitation.
Ayauzhan Rakhymzhanova, Primary Education
After finishing school and choosing a university, my choice was the Kazakhstan-American Free University. This is because the university offers so many opportunities. We received our education from knowledgeable and qualified teachers. I’m especially grateful to Zhanar Kabikenkyzy, who was our academic advisor for four years and gave us guidance and support. The four years at the university flew by with joy and excitement. We became professionals and mastered three languages fluently. I express my deep gratitude to KASU for providing such opportunities! May you always have sharp-minded, talented students. Keep growing and thriving!
Makpal Qaisanova, Primary Education
Every person has student years filled with unforgettable memories — a time that stays with you forever. My student life took place within the walls of KASU. This university gave me many new opportunities.
From the moment you become a student, make every second and every minute full of joy and excitement. One day, you’ll look back and miss those moments — this is truly the time you’ll remember most! Real student life, in all its beauty, only happens once. After that, only bright memories remain.
Askarova M. A., Primary Education
My introduction to KAFU began back in my school years. I used to visit the university to participate in English Olympiads. And in the ninth grade, I decided to enroll in the KAFU College.
The four years I spent at college were truly bright. It was a time filled with hope. That hope helped me never give up, even when facing difficulties. There were many laughs and tears. But most importantly, I gained valuable life experience.
A year after graduation, I decided to enter KAFU itself. I was fortunate to meet interesting people and wonderful teachers.
I’m grateful for the skills I developed. I believe I’ll remember my student years for a long time.
Elina Buzurtanova, Primary Education
Studying Primary Education at the university became a significant stage in my life. It opened up many opportunities and provided in-depth knowledge in the field of education. From the very first semesters, we studied the basics of pedagogy, psychology, and teaching methods, which helped us understand how to properly build the learning process for younger students.
However, the journey wasn’t without challenges — the large number of theoretical subjects and the need to balance academic life with personal life weren’t easy. Still, those moments contributed greatly to my personal development, teaching me responsibility and time management.
After graduation, I felt confident and ready to work in the education field. This experience laid the foundation for my career as a teacher, and I am thankful to the university for the knowledge and skills it gave me.
Aleksandra Andreevna Askarova, Primary Education
I entered KAFU in 2007, after four years of studying at college. At the time, there were several universities in our city I could have chosen. But after visiting the admissions offices of all of them, I made up my mind: I would continue my education at KAFU. I really appreciated how the admissions staff presented information and treated applicants with courtesy. The tuition was much more affordable than at other institutions, remained stable throughout the entire period of study, and could even be paid monthly in small installments — something that was very important and supportive for me and my family.
That’s how my student life at KAFU began. I enjoyed my time as a student — it was interesting, engaging, and filled with kindness and support from our professors. I studied Psychology and was delighted to meet incredible teachers and fellow students. That was the moment my journey into a new world began — a world I had long been curious about: human relationships, personality traits, and how to support oneself and others through life’s difficulties. What does it mean to be a psychologist?
Our professors taught us this with patience, detail, and dedication — and most importantly, by example. Although professors are usually seen as evaluators, ours were first and foremost psychologists and people with big hearts. They gave constructive feedback without negativity or criticism and created a safe environment that made us want to learn and explore. They always treated students with respect.
Through this, I experienced firsthand what empathy, acceptance, support, motivation, and even healthy frustration can be. My professors — beautiful, remarkable women — opened the world of psychology to me. To this day, I am happy to stay in touch with them and even seek methodological advice when needed, because I continue to work in the field I studied for.
In 2025, it will be 15 years since I graduated from KAFU, and I’ve been working as a psychologist ever since. I plan to continue in this profession. I’m so glad I chose this university, earned its diploma, and built a career based on the specialty I received here. Thank you, KAFU, and my dear, respected teachers — Elena Nikolaevna, Irina Alekseevna, Fatima Velibekovna! I also want to thank the wonderful professors now living abroad: Anzhelika Pavlovna, Tatyana Fransovna, and Maria Stanislavovna!
Leila Abisheva, Psychology
Almost six years have passed since I graduated from KAFU, yet I still remember that time with great warmth! It was a time of gaining knowledge, meeting new people, making friends, and, of course, receiving an education. Throughout my studies, there was a welcoming atmosphere and strong support from our professors. The profession of a psychologist still helps me today, and it’s all thanks to our teachers — Elena Nikolaevna and Fatima Velibekovna!
Besides academics, the university also had an engaging student life. I volunteered for 2.5 years — a job that wasn’t always easy emotionally, but it brought me joy and fulfillment.
I chose KAFU back when I was in the 9th grade — and I never regretted that decision. I am deeply grateful to the university for giving me the opportunity to grow and be part of a community of like-minded individuals throughout my studies.
Masha Ivanova, Psychology
I chose KAFU because it’s not just an educational institution – it’s my second home. From the moment I arrived here, I felt like I had entered a whole new world. Here, I made good friends and gained not only knowledge but also valuable life experience.
What makes KAFU stand out from other universities is its unique approach to education, the use of modern methods, and the strong support it provides to students. Everyone here can grow and develop in their chosen direction. The educational process combines theory and practice, giving students real opportunities to master their future profession.
In addition, KAFU not only provides academic knowledge, but also fosters personal development. Various events, projects, and competitions are organized, giving everyone the chance to show their abilities.
I have never regretted choosing KAFU! It was the best decision for my future.
Serikova Ademi, Physical Education and Sports
For me, KAFU is not just a university – it’s a path to the future. Here, I not only received quality education, but also discovered new sides of myself. I made great friends, joined an exciting community, and opened the door to new opportunities.
What makes KAFU special is its modern education system and the care it shows to students. Here you can master both theory and practice and develop skills needed for real life. The university is not limited to lectures – it organizes events, projects, and conferences aimed at students’ all-around development.
I believe that everyone can find their place at KAFU. It’s a place not only of knowledge, but also of confidence in the future, fresh ideas, and big goals. I will never regret choosing this university!
KAFU is the foundation of my future!
Tursyngali Bekzhan, Physical Education and Sports
When I chose KAFU, I realized I was making the right step for my future. This university is not just a place to study, but a big family, a place of friendship, growth, and success.

I’m proud to have chosen KAFU! It’s the beginning of my future.

Kenzhebekova Aidana, Kazakh Language and Literature
I graduated from the Kazakh Language and Literature program at the Kazakhstan-American Free University in 2017. At our faculty, a lot of attention was paid to the quality of education. Our teachers not only gave us knowledge but also guided us with care, helping us find the right direction for the future. They worked hard to train and shape us into well-rounded professionals. Thanks to the knowledge they provided, we became strong specialists in our field.
In 2024–2025, I enrolled in a master’s program in the same field to further deepen my knowledge. I’m very happy that I chose this university and sincerely recommend it to everyone who wants to receive a quality education.

I, Idayatuly Kashap, am proud to be a graduate of the Kazakhstan-American Free University. This university not only provides theoretical knowledge but also creates the best conditions for students to improve their practical skills, grow professionally, and develop as individuals. I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in my field at this university. During my master’s studies, I had the opportunity to enhance my knowledge in Turkey.
The university’s faculty consists of highly qualified experts with academic degrees and strong teaching experience. They approach each student individually and deliver knowledge in an understandable and engaging way. I’m deeply grateful to the instructors of Kazakh Language and Literature.

Kashap Idayatuly, Kazakh Language and Literature
It was a long process choosing between universities and tuition fees. I eventually chose KAFU because the payment plan was convenient and the location had great access via several bus routes. The “Journalism” program had just recently been launched, and we were the first students in the full-time department. We were sent to various workshops, learned how to film, edit videos, and write articles. This approach to education really suited me because not every university offers such practical training alongside theory.
After graduating, I got a job in the regional akimat’s press service, then at the university, and eventually became a civil servant in the regional media department.
Svetlana Akseneko (Rozhkova), Journalism
Since 2017 and to this day, I have been a student at the Kazakhstan-American Free University. KAFU provides an excellent educational experience, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The teaching staff consists of highly qualified professionals who are always ready to help students. That’s why I made the decision to return here for my second degree. Student life at the university is rich and dynamic: there are many clubs and events that allow students to grow not only academically but also personally. Overall, the university creates excellent conditions for students’ all-round development.
Kurilova Elina, Journalism
KAFU opened the doors to a new life for me. My choice of this university was no coincidence — it offers a wonderful program in “Journalism.” My childhood dream of working on camera, conducting interviews, and making films became a reality thanks to this university and its competent instructors. They not only taught us the foundations of the profession but also became real mentors who supported us throughout our studies. I was also constantly surrounded by people from all walks of life — economists, award-winning athletes — each with their own goals and ambitions. But we were all united by one thing: we were a family, and we proudly say we are graduates of KAFU!
Dmitry Zaitsev, Journalism

Ryabishchenko Darya, Journalism
Since school, I dreamed of becoming a journalist and studying in another city. But when I found out that I could pursue this profession at KAFU, I was overjoyed. I will never forget the early years of studying: everyone was cheerful, energetic, and always ready to help. But then, in the third year, we had to switch to online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yes, it was a difficult time, but our teachers did an amazing job delivering all the necessary material. In the fourth year, we returned to the university. We got the chance to try ourselves as TV hosts and practiced reading scripts on camera — it was all simply unforgettable! Thanks to KAFU, I fulfilled my dream and continue to work as a journalist to this day.
Sey Evelina, Journalism

Bogatyryova (Ledyaykina) Anna Vladimirovna, Russian Language and Literature
KAFU is a University with a capital “U”!
Not only the university itself, but the teachers immediately drew me into an amazing student life. The classes, events — everything was just the beginning of my educational journey. With each year, studying became not more difficult, but easier and clearer.
The university gives everyone the opportunity not only to express themselves but also to discover hidden talents they didn’t even know they had.
After earning my bachelor’s degree in “Russian Language and Literature,” I already knew I would continue into a master’s program.
All the academic programs developed by the faculty provide a solid foundation for learning, which helps students quickly absorb the material.
Throughout all the years of study and upon completing my master’s degree, I can say that I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience. Thanks to the education I received, I was able to get a job at a school without much difficulty. I wish all current and future KAFU students to never stop growing, to pursue new knowledge, discoveries, and dreams. May you have bright prospects, creative ideas, and lots of luck!

I look back on the three years I spent at KAFU with immense gratitude. This university became more than just a place to study—it became a true school of life. I gained not only foundational knowledge but also valuable practical skills, broadened my horizons, and learned to overcome challenges.
When choosing a profession, I never doubted that I wanted to dedicate my life to teaching Russian language and literature—which only strengthened my confidence in that choice. Thanks to the wonderful educators—wise, experienced, and passionate about their field—I learned to understand Russian language and literature at a deeper level, to impart knowledge to others, inspire students, and cultivate in them a love for language and culture.
Studying here helped me step out of my comfort zone, develop independence, responsibility, and creativity. The university gave me opportunities to participate in interesting projects, try new roles, and exchange experiences with like-minded peers. That time was a period of growth and discovery, and now, as a teacher in a school, I can confidently say: it was the right choice.
I am sincerely grateful to the Kazakhstan‑American Free University for the knowledge, support, and priceless memories. Here I became not only a professional but also met people who inspired me to grow and improve myself. Thank you for this important chapter of my life!
Bakieva Sabina Erlanovna, Russian Language and Literature
It so happened in my life that teaching became my second profession. I pursued my second higher education at KAFU. I want to highlight the professionalism and responsiveness of the department of Russian Language and Literature. For two years, the lecturers were my guides—they always helped, advised, supported me; in one word, never left me in difficulty.
After completing my bachelor’s, I enrolled in a master’s program in the same field. Now, working in a school for the third year, I never stop thanking those who taught me. I still keep in touch with many of them.
Zinkovskaya Tatyana Sergeevna, Russian Language and Literature
My student life at the Kazakhstan‑American Free University was a bright and eventful stage, full of new knowledge, impressions, and opportunities for self-realization. I studied in the Russian Language and Literature program.
The curriculum was well-structured: deep study of Russian and foreign philology, literary studies, stylistics, and language history allowed me to expand my horizons and gain valuable text-analysis skills. The lecturers are true professionals, always ready to help, explain difficult points, and support every student in their pursuit of knowledge.
Beyond academics, student life at KAFU was diverse: literary evenings, scientific conferences, competitions, and cultural events enriched my experience and gave me opportunities to shine. The university fosters a friendly atmosphere—students and lecturers are not just colleagues but a true academic family.
That period provided not only professional knowledge but important life lessons. I learned to think critically, express my thoughts confidently and accurately, and work with texts at a deeper level. Studying at KAFU became a crucial step in my personal and professional development.
Dedova Darya Vasilievna, Russian Language and Literature
My entire life, education has always been my top priority. I graduated high school with highest honors, participated in many prestigious Olympiads—including sports—so my expectations for higher education were high. This university positions itself as one of the best in Kazakhstan. My university years brought me a whirlwind of emotions, impressions, connections, and knowledge. What impressed me most was the faculty: when you first speak with them, you immediately realize their level of intelligence—and how much there is still to learn. My university is the place where I was able to realize myself. For me, it is a second home—I spent most of my time here doing what I love.
Maksimova Anastasia, Physical Education and Sports
The Kazakhstan‑American Free University is not just a name on paper. I never had doubts about who I wanted to become in the future. So the question of which university to attend after school didn’t even arise. Over the years of studying, the university became something close to my heart. If you’re ready to work hard and aim high in life, this place is just for you.
Talented lecturers day in and day out don’t just impart knowledge—they instill a love for your future profession. Student life at the university is very dynamic. There are always events that help students express themselves not only in academics, but also reveal their creative and sports talents.
I wish to express my gratitude to the entire teaching staff of KAFU, who helped all students learn the field of “Physical Education and Sports.” I would especially like to thank the faculty of pedagogy and psychology, who take responsibility for the educational, developmental, and research processes—sharing their experience with trainees, being highly qualified, certified, trained at leading education centers, and possessing extensive practical experience.
