Entrepreneurship Month Kicks Off at KAFU

3 February 2026, the Entrepreneurship Center of Kazakhstan-American Free University officially launched a series of events dedicated to the development of entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, initiative, and social responsibility.

The opening of the Month of Entrepreneurship was marked by the participation of international entrepreneur Allen Lenard, who conducted a number of practice-oriented activities for students:

  1. “Build a Business Model in 50 Minutes” session: an interactive business game in which participants completed the journey from an idea to a fully formed business model in just one hour. The format focused on developing decision-making skills, teamwork, rapid analysis, and prototyping. The emphasis was placed on practical entrepreneurial experience rather than theory.
  2. Meeting with the Student Center leadership and volunteers of the “Combining Business and Social Impact” project. During the discussion, approaches to building businesses focused not only on economic efficiency but also on sustainable social impact were explored. Participants examined examples of social entrepreneurship and ways to integrate socially significant initiatives into business models.
  3. The first mentoring session with the Enactus student team: this meeting marked the start of work on a project for participation in the Republican Enactus Competition, which will take place in the spring. Throughout February, the team will receive mentoring and expert support, regular feedback, and the necessary resources to develop their social enterprise.
  4. Launch of the author’s course “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship”: on the same day, a unique educational course began, which will run throughout February. The course program is aimed at developing practical skills, including generating and validating business ideas, hypothesis testing, teamwork, and the development of sustainable projects—from idea to implementation.

The formats implemented within the Month of Entrepreneurship contribute to the development of critical thinking, creativity, leadership qualities, and the ability to act effectively in conditions of uncertainty—key competencies of a modern entrepreneur.
