Events for International Children’s Day in the Park: Participation of the International Academy of Leadership

On June 1, 2025, participants of the International Academy of Leadership, organized by Kazakh-American Free University in cooperation with Co-Serve International (Portland, Oregon, USA), took part in the city celebration of International Children’s Day in the central park of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The festive program included musical and dance performances, interactive games, workshops, and face painting for children. For the Academy participants, this was an important opportunity not only to engage with local traditions but also to strengthen their intercultural communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Such events help Academy members better understand the value of serving the community, joint initiatives, and friendship among nations.

After the celebration, there was an international potluck, where Academy participants presented dishes from their home countries — Afghanistan, Thailand, the Philippines, the USA, and Kazakhstan — and shared a piece of their culture, creating an atmosphere of unity and mutual understanding.
