Extracurricular Session on Interpreting

On April 4, 2023, 3rd year students of the major “Translation Studies” attended an extracurricular lesson on the practice of interpreting on the topic: “The History of Ust-Kamenogorsk Foundation”

As part of the preparation of interpreters, a lesson was held at the site of the founding of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk with the participation of teaching assistant Javi Bosket from the USA. The students prepared a tour of the historically significant places of the city with a story about the construction of the fortress and St. Andrew’s Cathedral. During the lesson, students practiced consecutive and simultaneous (whispering) translation.
