First PhD Dissertation Defense at the KAFU Dissertation Council

Doctoral candidate Rita Adilmuratova successfully presented her research paper on the topic: “The Principle of Legal Proceedings Language and the Problems of Interpreter Participation in Criminal Procedure in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

The work was completed at the KAFU Department of Law and International Relations. Kairat O. Alembayev, Head of the Department of Law and International Relations, supervised the research. Lev V. Bertovsky, Doctor of Law, Professor in the Forensic Science Department of the Law Faculty of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, served as the international scientific advisor.

The official reviewers were:

Asel B. Sharipova, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University;

Vitaly V. Khan, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The dissertation council meeting was held in a mixed format (offline and online). Yulia A. Gavrilova, Vice-Rector for Research and Postgraduate Education at KAFU, chaired the council.
