First Regional Olympiad in the Fundamentals of Law “Law and Order”
On December 12, 2025, the Kazakh-American Free University hosted the First Regional Olympiad in the Fundamentals of Law, titled “Law and Order,” among 11th-grade students from schools of the East Kazakhstan Region. The event was organized within the framework of the Concept for Promoting the “Law and Order” Ideology for 2025–2030. The Olympiad was conducted in the state (Kazakh) and Russian languages and included three types of tasks: testing, solving a crossword, and logical problems aimed at assessing knowledge of key branches of law.
The intellectual competition brought together 93 students from 33 schools of the East Kazakhstan Region, including the cities of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ridder, Altai, as well as the Tarbagatai, Ulan, and Glubokoe districts.
The jury consisted of legal professionals:
- Altynai K. Arinova — Chairperson of the Chamber of Legal Consultants of the East Kazakhstan Region; Chairperson of the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the Republican Public Association “Kazakhstan Union of Lawyers”;
- Rita A. Adilmuratova — PhD, Senior Research Lecturer, Department of Law and International Relations, KAFU;
- Aidar Z. Serikkaliyev — Representative of the Regional Chamber of Private Bailiffs of the East Kazakhstan Region;
- Ardak K. Abdrakhmanova — Senior Research Lecturer, Department of Law and International Relations, KAFU;
- Manshuk T. Raimova — Senior District Inspector for Juvenile Affairs of the Juvenile Police Group, Irtysh Police Department of the Police Administration of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Police Major;
- Ermek M. Zhunuspekov — Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Higher College of KAFU;
- Saveliy A. Muzhchil — Head of the Legal Clinic, Senior Lecturer, Department of Law and International Relations, KAFU.
Based on the results of the Olympiad, the winners were:
- 1st place — Kausar Bazarbek (50% tuition discount at KAFU);
- 2nd place — Ivan Shemelin (25% tuition discount at KAFU);
- 3rd place — Ramazan Nurakhmetov (10% tuition discount at KAFU).
The discounts are valid upon admission to the educational programs “Jurisprudence” and “Law and Law Enforcement.”
