Freshmen’s Week

The traditional freshmen’s orientation week was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. For the students, this was the first step into university life, an introduction to the history and structure of KAFU, as well as the basic rules and opportunities of the university.

The students attended introductory lectures on the credit technology of education. Particular attention was paid to academic policy, internal regulations, and the Code of Academic Honesty.

A separate block of classes was devoted to working in the Moodle distance learning system, which will allow first-year students to confidently use digital tools in their studies. Students also learned about international programs and academic mobility, courses of the Career and Personality Development Center, as well as the activities of the Student Development Center.

The orientation week helped students not only adapt, but also understand that studying at KAFU is not only lectures and exams, but also a wide range of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
