Functioning of school mediation services in the regions of East Kazakhstan region

As part of the project “Development of school mediation services as a way of resolving conflicts and creating a culture of tolerant behavior,” funded by the US Embassy, school mediation services have been operating since September 2023.

In nine schools in East Kazakhstan region, special services have been launched where students, parents, and teachers can turn to receive advice on resolving conflict situations that arise in the educational environment.Conflict resolution is assisted primarily by teachers and students who completed online courses that were conducted from January 11 to April 27, 2023 as part of the project. Mediators provide not only advisory assistance, but also conduct various types of classes, master classes, seminars, and thematic classes in order to prevent conflicts.
