Guest Lecture on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Science at KAFU
On November 11, 2025, the Kazakhstan-American Free University hosted a guest lecture titled “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Science,” held as part of the International Scientific Congress “Humanization of Education in the Digital World: Professional and Ethical Guidelines for International Partnership.”
The lecture was delivered by Stefan Noack, Research Associate and PhD candidate at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau. His presentation, “Artificial Intelligence in Academic Research: The Use of Generative Tools,” focused on the application of generative AI tools in scientific research.
During the lecture, Stefan Noack discussed in detail the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the academic environment, emphasizing that modern AI solutions can significantly enhance the efficiency of scientific analysis, data processing, and publication preparation. He devoted particular attention to issues of academic integrity, ethical AI use, and the need for researchers to develop new competencies.
The lecture was held in an open dialog format: KAFU faculty and students asked questions about the practical use of neural network tools in both humanities and natural science research, as well as issues related to trust in AI-generated results.
The guest lecture further demonstrated the strong partnership between the Kazakhstan-American Free University and the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau and highlighted the importance of integrating artificial intelligence into the modern scientific and educational landscape.
