Guest Lecture on the Topic “All about IPO”. Investments in JSC NC «KazMunayGas»

November 22, 2022, as part of the study of the discipline “Financial Management” at the Department of Business of the Kazakh-American Free University with the participation of Senior Lecturer Yuliya Trofimova, a guest lecture was held on the topic “All about IPO. Investments in JSC NC «KazMunayGas».
The speaker was Dmitry Butakov, Senior Manager of «Freedom Broker», Ust-Kamenogorsk.

An IPO, or Initial Public Offering, is an initial public offering of shares to a wide audience. Thanks to this, not only its founders or large investors, but also individuals can become shareholders of a company.
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, called it a priority to bring national companies to IPO, and also instructed to make participation in the purchase of shares of domestic companies available to every Kazakhstani.

On November 9, subscription for shares of NC «KazMunayGas» began in Kazakhstan as part of the IPO on KASE and AIX. Retail investors will be able to apply until December 2, institutional investors – until November 30.

It will be possible to purchase securities in three ways and in just a few steps.

Participation in IPO is available to every citizen of Kazakhstan. The most important thing is to decide on your budget, how much you can spend on buying shares, and choose the right broker. And yet – it is necessary to focus on the official information of state bodies and licensed brokers about the start of the IPO of «KazMunayGas», so as not to become a victim of fraudsters.

At the end of the guest lecture, the audience expressed their gratitude to the speaker for the information received and discussed the issues of interest.
