Guest Lecture on the Topic “Tenders and Public Procurement in Kazakhstan: Features and Challenges of Participation”

On February 1, 2024, a guest lecture was given to students of the Business Department on the topic “Tenders and Public Procurement in Kazakhstan: Features and Challenges of Participation.”

The guest lecture was moderated by Senior Lecturer, PhD Victoria N. Nepshina.

The guest lecturer was a doctoral student of the EP “Management” of the Business Department, Supply Manager of «Emil» LLP Ruslan S. Smagulov.

The lecturer shared his experience and knowledge about tender procedures in Kazakhstan. The students received an in-depth understanding of the specifics of participation in tenders and also examined the difficulties that enterprises and individual entrepreneurs may encounter when participating in such processes. The lecture provided valuable practical knowledge for future management and procurement professionals.

At the lecture, the students carefully studied the government procurement portal and became acquainted with the processes and features of tenders in Kazakhstan. Ruslan S. Smagulov provided a detailed overview of the portal’s functionality, helping the students understand the key aspects of participation in public procurement and providing practical skills for successful participation in tender procedures.
