Guest Lecture on the Topic “The Impact of Reducing Unemployment and Poverty on the Development of the Country’s Economy”

On November 29, 2023, students of the Department of Business of the Kazakh-American Free University took part in a guest lecture on the topic “The Impact of Reducing Unemployment and Poverty on the Development of the Country’s Economy”.

The speaker was the Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the East Kazakhstan Region Doshan K. Kayrgazinov .

The unemployment rate is the ratio of the number of unemployed people of a certain age group to the number of economically active population of the corresponding age group.

The poverty level is a socio-economic indicator that determines the minimum level of income or consumer basket, below which a person or family is considered poor.

During the guest lecture, a representative of the local executive body spoke about measures to promote employment and ongoing work in the field of social protection. The speaker also noted the importance of regulating migration activity and its impact on the country’s economy.

At the end of the guest lecture, the audience expressed gratitude to the speaker for the information received and discussed the issues of interest.
