The Kazakh-American Free University announces the Literary Salon dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin’s birth.
Terms of Participation
The Literary Salon dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin’s birth is held for students of grades 9-11 of East Kazakhstan region schools, and students of the East Kazakhstan region technical and vocational education institutions are also allowed to participate.
The Literary Salon dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin’s birth is held for students of schools with Russian and Kazakh as the language of instruction. The date is October 13, 2025.
To participate in the Literary Salon dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin’s birth, you must submit an APPLICATION.
Applications are accepted in the following nominations:
1) Expressive reading of an excerpt from a work by S.A. Yesenin;
2) A musical piece (lyrics by S.A. Yesenin);
3) A stage production (a theatrical sketch) based on a work by S.A. Yesenin (no more than 5-7 minutes).
When submitting an application from an educational institution, no more than three participants are allowed to participate in different nominations – provided that the supervisors are different teachers.
One general application is accepted from an educational institution.

Nomination “Musical Work Based on the Poems of S.A. Yesenin”
1. Title of the work proposed for performance
2. Last name and first name of the participant, contact number of the mobile phone with WhatsApp. Two or more performers are allowed in this nomination, if musical accompaniment is necessary. If there are two or more performers, the details of all students with their role (performance, musical accompaniment) are indicated. Please take into account the mobile format of the production, musical accompaniment – amateur format or soundtrack (only for music).
3. Details of the supervisor – full name, mobile phone with WhatsApp, e-mail.
Nomination “Stage Production (Theatrical Sketch) Based on the Work of S.A. Yesenin”
1. Title of the work proposed for performance
2. Last name and first name of the participants, contact number of the mobile phone with WhatsApp. Two or more performers are allowed in this nomination. In this nomination, you can indicate the name of the Creative Group (hereinafter referred to as the CG) that will present the work as a general participant. In the case of a performance by a Creative Group, indicate information about each participant. Each educational institution independently determines the members of its CG. Each CG is awarded one certificate. Costumes – at the discretion of the CG. Decorations – a photo on the screen that will create the background of the stage production. Please take into account the mobile format of the production. Choreographic elements are not allowed.
3. Information about the manager – full name, mobile phone with WhatsApp, e-mail.
Participation in this event is free.
Applications must be sent to tanya_levina@mail.ru no later than October 1, 2025.
The program of the Literary Salon dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin’s birth is formed in accordance with the submitted applications.
Evaluation Criteria
When evaluating, the jury takes into account the following criteria:
– knowledge of the text of the selected passage;
– literacy of speech and clarity of diction;
– artistry;
– use of stage costumes (on the chosen topic).
The author’s originality of the supervisor to the productions and their transfer to the “modern” format of the action is allowed.
The time of the Literary Salon will be indicated additionally.
