Intellectual Game “Forum of the Erudites”
On November 15, 2024, the intellectual game “Forum of the Erudites” was held at the S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, timed to coincide with the Day of the National Currency of Kazakhstan. The event contributed to improving the financial literacy of young people, emphasizing the importance of the national currency as a symbol of the country’s economic stability, and attracted the attention of students to issues of economics and financial monitoring.
The organizer of the competition was the Public Foundation “Antares-A” as part of the project “Conducting A Comprehensive Campaign to Combat Economic Crimes”.
Students from three leading universities in the region took part in the competition:
- S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University;
- D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University;
- Kazakh-American Free University.
Each team consisted of seven participants representing their educational institutions.
The main objectives of the intellectual game included:
- encouraging students’ educational and research activities;
- revealing the professional and personal potential of the participants;
- forming a civic position and increasing interest in economic topics;
- deepening knowledge in the field of financial literacy;
- strengthening interaction with financial monitoring bodies.
Competition Results
After a tense struggle, the places were distributed as follows:
- The first place was won by the team “Zhetistik Zholy” from the Kazakh-American Free University. The team members demonstrated brilliant knowledge in the field of finance, a creative approach and a high level of training.
- The second place was taken by the team of the S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, demonstrating cohesion and professionalism.
- The third place went to students of the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, who demonstrated confident knowledge and a desire to win.
Holding such events is an important step in developing financial literacy and forming a responsible approach to economic issues among young people. In addition, the game contributed to the exchange of experience and strengthening of ties between universities in the region.
