International Guest Lecture by Ilona V. Bordianu (PhD) together with Professor Bernd Zirkler (PhD) and KAFU Doctoral Student Stefan Noak on the Topic “Management Focused on Sustainable Development” Georg Simon Ohm Technical University of Nuremberg, Nuremberg, Germany

On November 18, 2023, within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kazakh-American Free University and the Georg Simon Ohm Technical University of Nuremberg, Nuremberg, Germany, during the International Week, a guest lecture was given by Professor Bernd Zirkler (PhD) together with the Head of the Business Department Ilona V. Bordianu (PhD) and Doctoral Student of the Department of Business Stefan Noak on the topic “Management Focused on Sustainable Development.”

The participants of the guest lecture were master’s students of the EP “International Business”.

The following issues were discussed during the lecture:

– Approaches to managing sustainable development;

– Integration of social and environmental aspects into economic value driver systems;

– Applied research – ideas for a doctoral project.

Master’s students were provided with specific examples of organizations that are successfully implementing sustainable practices. This allowed us to see what steps could be taken to achieve sustainability in different areas.

Sustainability management is not only an important topic to discuss, but also provides major opportunities for undergraduates to influence the future through their careers and professional endeavors.
