Description of the Educational Program

The educational program 7M04105 “Management and Information Technologies” is a double degree program implemented in cooperation with five partner universities: West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Kazakh-American Free University (Kazakhstan), Armenian State University of Economics (Armenia), Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (Kyrgyzstan), and International Black Sea University (Georgia).

The program is focused on acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of IT management for future professionals working as managers or specialists in companies. It provides in-depth knowledge of key disciplines in advanced IT management, such as Machine Learning, data-driven decision analytics, advanced management systems, programming paradigms, business information systems, and others.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to apply IT tools in project management, support projects throughout their entire life cycle, lead IT teams, implement operational management, forecast risks, effectively organize the company and its departments, and develop and continuously improve business processes.

Graduates will receive a double diploma from the Kazakh-American Free University and the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Germany).

Master’s Training Direction: Scientific and pedagogical, with a duration of 2 years. The program prepares scientific and academic personnel for universities and research organizations, with deep pedagogical and research training.

Forms of Study: Full-time. KAFU offers the program on a paid basis and with state-funded grants. Classes are conducted in the evening.

Two Entrance Exams:

  • Foreign Language
  • Specialty (Management, Business Organization)

Admission Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in the following programs: Management, Information Systems, International Relations, Linguistics, or related fields.
  2. English language proficiency at B2 level, confirmed by certificates: Cambridge Certificate, GMAT, IELTS, LCCI-Test, TELC, TOEFL, TOEIC-test.

Study Sequence for KAFU Master’s Students:

  • 1st semester – West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Germany)
  • 2nd semester – any of the partner universities
  • 3rd semester – Kazakh-American Free University
  • 4th semester – Kazakh-American Free University

State Educational Grants: Every year, approximately 200 state grants are allocated for the Master’s program in “Management,” indicating a growing demand for highly qualified managers. The government actively supports the development of management education programs, providing all necessary conditions for the preparation of master’s students and their successful entry into the labor market.
