Journey into the World of National Heritage

On November 25, 2025, first-, third-, and fourth-year students of the Kazakhstan-American Free University took a field trip to the East Kazakhstan Regional Architectural, Ethnographic, and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve as part of the course “Speech Culture.”

During the excursion, the students explored ethnographic artifacts from various regions of Kazakhstan. They were particularly impressed by the museum exhibits such as national clothing, household items made of wood and metal, horse equipment, jewelry, a traditional yurt, different types of carpets, and the tools used to make them.

The purpose of the trip was to broaden the horizons of future specialists and open the way to a deeper understanding of the history of their native region. The students shared their impressions and returned with a wealth of new knowledge.

We express our gratitude to Senior Lecturer-Researcher Nursulu Kairdynovna Turgumbayeva for organizing the excursion, as well as to third-year student Aymaral Shalabayeva for her work as a guide!
