KAFU Alpine Skier Takes First Place at an International Competition in Kyrgyzstan

From January 28 to 31, 2026, several significant alpine skiing competitions were held at the Kashkulak Ski Resort in Kyrgyzstan: two stages of the Central Asian Cup, national and junior championships, and FIS competitions. The competition brought together top athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Armenia. The tournament is being held for the eighth time and is considered one of the key sporting events of the winter season.

Aleksey Kulakov, a first-year student in the Physical Education and Sports program and a graduate of the Ridder Regional Specialized Boarding School-College of Olympic Reserve, a state university under the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the East Kazakhstan Region, took first place, demonstrating a high level of preparation, skill, and determination to win. It’s important to note that the education and training he received at the Olympic Reserve School played a significant role in achieving this success. This school not only serves as a foundation for developing athletic talent but also lays the foundation for an athlete’s professional career. The training system, focused on providing maximum support for young athletes, played a key role in Alexey’s development as a top-class alpine skier.

KAFU is proud of its student’s achievements and wishes Alexey future success, confident progress, and new athletic victories!
