KAFU Announced the Winners of the Regional Subject Olympiad

On February 26, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University held the “XII Regional Olympiad in Kazakh Language and Literature, dedicated to the 185th Anniversary of Ybyrai Altynsarin.”

A total of 83 10th- and 11th-grade students from schools in the Kurchum, Ulan, Markakol, Glubokoe, and Shemonaikha districts, the cities of Altai and Ridder, and the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk participated in the subject Olympiad.

Subject Olympiads are an excellent way to identify gifted students, develop their creative potential, and stimulate interest in science and education. For Olympiad participants, it’s an opportunity to test their knowledge, evaluate themselves, and apply to a university without exams. The Kazakh Language and Literature Olympiad selects the best of the best and provides prospective students with an opportunity to understand the work of Ybyrai Altynsarin.

The Olympiad consisted of two stages. In the first stage, participants solved test questions on the subject, and in the second stage, they wrote essays related to the life and work of Ybyrai Altynsarin.

As part of the Olympiad, KAFU graduate and Kazakh language and literature researcher at School-Center for Supplementary Education No. 48, Eldar Bulatkanuly, conducted a seminar for teachers on “Using Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Kazakh Literature.” All participants received certificates.
